WANA (May 10) – Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the presence of technical experts in the fourth round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States, underlining that the composition of Iran’s delegation is tailored to serve the country’s highest national interests.

“Regarding our own delegation, I can say that it consists of the experts and specialists necessary for this phase of the talks,” Baghaei said.

He reiterated that the Iranian team is fully committed to safeguarding the Islamic Republic’s core strategic priorities during the negotiations.

Previously, some reports from American media claimed that the technical teams would not be involved in the fourth round of the Iran-U.S. nuclear negotiations. This claim appears to contrast with the official Iranian statement.

The first round of these indirect negotiations between Iran and the U.S., mediated by Oman, was held on April 12 in Muscat, and the second round of talks took place in Rome on Saturday, April 19, again with Oman as the intermediary.

The third round of talks, which took place on Saturday, April 26, was also in Oman. The fourth round of negotiations, which had been postponed, is now set to take place on Sunday, May 11.
